The Sustainable Island Community

Idea & Concept

Key Biscayne is working towards becoming a shining example among resilient communities – promoting vibrancy and eco-conscious practices to foster sustainability.

Design Process

For the Village, we’ve designed a holistic program that targets energy efficiency & renewables, waste management, water quality, & green building practices.

Engineered 4 Tomorrow

Solutions with resilience and long lasting benefits are what is needed to perpetuate growth, and foster habits that will preserve our communities for future generations.

About This Project

D Squared is guiding the Village of Key Biscayne in developing and implementing policies and initiatives consistent with responsible stewardship of the island’s environment and infrastructure. This process includes a series of short and longterm goals that we are directing (all of which can be viewed in the Village’s Sustainability Plan). Ultimately, D Squared aims to help the community live responsibly and sustainability in the fragile island ecology, thus protecting the heath, well-being, and vitality of the community for present and future generations.
